As part of our participation in the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) our teachers provide Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) assessments bi-annually. These assessments examine social-emotional, physical, academic, and language development. Upon review of the results, we develop lesson plans to develop skills and build on competencies.
We offer parent/teacher conferences twice annually, in the fall and in the spring. During the conference we will review the results from the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) and review any questions or concerns you may have. “The Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) assessment instrument is designed for teachers to observe, document, and reflect on the learning, development, and progress of children, birth through 12 years of age, who are enrolled in early care and education programs and before-and after-school programs (CDE, 2021).” If a parent chooses to opt out of a formal conference we can informally meet with at drop off and pick up to assist you in understanding the DRDP and tracking your child(ren)’s progress.
